Argyle Attic in Vancouver Island

Bought Groupon and tried their brunch on the weekend. Place was cozy, excellent customer services. Food was delicious and not salty at all. Tried gardeners and attic burger. Highly recommended.

Meh. I prefer little sister (Smith's) downstairs. Same menu, same kitchen, better staff. My money is better spent there.

From out of town decided to give this place a try because it was close to our hotel and had good reviews heard the eggs Benedict was really good so planned to order that only to find out you can’t order until at least 10am, disappointed, ordered the breakfast sandwich it was okay very basic flavouring and the smashed potatoes that come with it were a bit overdone dry and bland. Decent place to go for a quick bite but nothing special.

Booked a private event here about a month ago. The price was good, the staff was awesome, the manager was accommodating and the food was delicious. Thank you guys for an awesome night we'll never forget!

Cozy little place! Been here a couple times and it's always quite quiet when I'm there. Apparently they get busy but I've never seen it like that. Good atmosphere:)

My partner and I decided to go for breakfast. It's a quaint and cozy atmosphere, very nice! The waiter was excellent, he poured us coffee right away (even though I don't really drink coffee) and was polite and easy to talk to. Very good service. Everything is going well, at least until we get the food. I ordered the breakfast poutine, and my partner, she ordered the gardeners omelette. Our food arrives, and to my surprise, it's lukewarm. The curry sauce is almost cold! I was disappointed... My partners omelette was overcooked. It was hard for her to enjoy. All the moisture was cooked out. It's unfortunate...but maybe it was an off day for the cooks? I would give them another chance, maybe try the lunch menu next time.

This is the place!!! A great nostalgic atmosphere with fantastic food. This is especially a top notch place for breakfast. PS: To my military brethren you will definitely feel at home here.

This is a great little restaurant, where the food is delicious and the atmosphere is relaxing. I've had several marvelous meals, including two fantastic breakfasts. Our waiter Bob was jovial and entertaining. This is a great spot in downtown Victoria.

Good place for brunch. Good food, good coffee, good prices, good service. Somehow never busy when I've been there.

Went for brunch, waitress was visibly annoyed because our order was customized. Food was ok.

10/26/19: This place is a nice pocket to chill in. Connected to Smith Bar it's quieter and more intimate. The grilled cheese, Attic burger, and classic poutine are spot on comfort food. Bartender was nice and attentive even working the entire upstairs solo.

Super friendly service, great food, key lime pie is everything.

The food was delicious, the decor and atmosphere quirky and fun. We only found this place through Groupon and we were glad we did. The curry poutine was unique.

Bob the waiter is a very cool guy. Made sure we had all the coffee we wanted. Food was delicious with large portions enough for a snack later on.

Bob the waiter took very good care of us. Offered stimulating conversation and old-fashioned politeness. He was very entertaining and had a great sense of humor. The food was delicious and the coffee very strong. The second day we needed food to-go in a hurry and he made sure we got our food in a timely manner.

Really good brunch — enjoyed the eggs benny, the hashbrowns were delish, and the coffee was tasty. Very cozy spot, cute and retro and quirky, excellent service. Excited to have discovered a great new brunch spot to add to our list of favourites :)

Absolutely delicious and very friendly place! I ordered a gardener omelette and savoured every bite of it! My mum had the traditional and also loved hers. The portion sizes were so generous that it kept us going until dinner time too.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten in a restaurant. Omlette was so flavorful, every bite was just as good as the next if not better. Coffee was delicious. Needless to say I polished the plate off. I would recommend the Argyle Attic to anyone looking for a great meal in a quaint atmosphere.

Cosy place tucked away right smack downtown. Conveniently located across from the city parkade. Great for breakfast or lunch. Veg options. Excellent service. The ambiance and decor is funky retro MCM Canadian woodsy. 😁

The BEST grilled cheese sandwich I've ever had in a restaurant. Atmosphere and service was great too!

Not sure why even went back. Service was worse than the previous visit. We arrived at 6:30, got a table that hadn't been bused yet, and 7:10 it still hadn't, nor had our drink orders been taken. 7:20 we went to the bar to place an order, got told there was a wait and we'd be taken care of shortly. We left at 7:30 having not had any services within an hour of sitting down.

Nothing special. Service is unapologetic when they bring you coffee in a used, lip stick covered cup or forget your side order of bangers. Better places in town to eat for the price. Food tastes good and the portions are decent.

We went twice during our visit in Victoria. Food was great and service was awesome! Plate was plentiful. Pancakes were perfect! It will surely get you going through your day! I would recommend this place. Me and my family loved it!

Let me set the mood. A warm upstairs venue, decorated for the christmas season, canadian historic pictures and mild taxidermy. Now, the most charismaticly genuine server I have ever experienced. He is not only a great server, attentive and kind, but he is also quite the showman and able to read his audiences. He up sold on his chef and let me tell you. That DID NOT disappoint. The best eggs Benedict variation and as our server suggested, it was like "tom cruise massaging my stomach with velvet gloves."

Simply delightful a quiet space to enjoy with family and friends

Neat space for a beer tasting event. Reminded me of a mix between my favorite pub and my great aunt's parlour. Didn't get to try any scotch but it looks like the list is pretty big. Will come back for sure

I only write reviews if an eatery goes completely above and beyond my expectations, and wow, this place absolutely does! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was cosy and classy, the coffee was great, and the service was spectacular. Best breakfast I've had in Victoria, and best breakfast I've had anywhere in a long time! Shout out to my waiter, who was like, the Jesus of cool. Highly recommend.

What a wonderful breakfast! We stayed at the Quality Inn and were very pleasantly surprised to walk down the hall and find such delicious breakfast options so conveniently located. The Croque Monsieur eggs benedict was really good with bechamel instead of hollandaise, we also had their granola and breakfast sandwich. Very satisfying although I could do without the tater tots and they don't do lattes. But all in all good enough to tempt us back, the second day!

Delicious breakfast! Had the breakfast sandwich and it was super filling and very affordable. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great too. Felt very Canadian and quirky! I would definitely go back.

Poutine tots with cheese curds, hollandaise sauce and pulled pork was pretty dang tasty! Friendly service and quiet... winning combo for breakfast. Don't forget range free poached eggs too

We really enjoyed our meal. The Butter Chicken was the best meal I have had while in Vancouver and Victoria. Devin was our server who was very attentive and personable. Try a sleeve of their dark beer. You won’t be disappointed.

I love this unique brunch and breakfast joint. Fun atmosphere, great service and amazing in house made food! I plan to come back again and again!
